Alley Laptop Shoulder Bag in Carbon Size: Medium

I needed a functional, durable bag for my new MacBook: The STM Small Alley Case is well made, and a perfect fit for the computer, and it’s got several pockets for my external mouse and the power brick and cord. It’s also got a couple of document-sized pockets (front and back) that will hold a small paperback or some files. And though I’m not likely to use it, the bag comes with a little removable, velcro-closure cellphone/mouse pouch on the shoulder strap.
I like the vertical configuration, and the notebook pocket looks to be adequately padded. Solid construction, durable nylon zippers, nice color (I got the carbon). Good-looking, and should last awhile. If you’re looking for a sturdy bag that fits the MacBook and carries the essentials, this one is worth checking out.
NB: The Alley comes in a larger size to accommodate 15-inch laptops. And despite what the product description says, the pockets aren’t baggy mesh (of which I’m not a fan) – they’re made of the same sturdy material as the rest of the bag.

I’ve been looking all over for bags. I currently have a Crumpler December Quarter that holds my camera and laptop – but it’s way too clunky and slides off my shoulder. I needed something smaller, more comfortable, and isn’t too girly looking.
This is the case – I love it. It’s very well padded – holds the MacBook like a glove, even if you store it in a sleeve. It holds just enough stuff to make it practical. Being vertical, it’s not as clunky or floppy as others. The added bonus – it has a HANDLE. That makes it perfect.
This is a good – no, GREAT bag for the MacBook.

A very light bag for (nothing bigger) 13″ macbook. Very functional and elegant. It feels very sturdy and durable. Great color too. Just a little bit on the pricey side but I can live with it. No tax and free shipping from J&R.

I bought this bag in order to carry little more than my macbook – and it is great for that. There are a couple of additional pockets for accessories, but none are quite adequate for the bulk of the power adapter. The design of the case is sleek, following the pattern of the macbook itself – a not very thick rectangle. So writing pads or notebooks, trade paperbacks or hardback books will fit nicely, as long as you select no more than one of each.
I’d buy it again.

This bag is perfect for my 13″ Macbook, fits like a glove. You also can’t even tell that it’s a laptop bag with its small size, and with dark carbon color, dirt shows up minimally. Just enough room for cables, a notebook, and other small electronic gear. Overall a really nice bag, that’s very sturdy and has many pockets. I love it! I recommend this to anyone with a 13″ or smaller laptop, you will not be disappointed!
