So i am getting a new bowling ball this week. Its the new Hammer Black Widow Bite! I average about a 160 and want to get up to about a 180 or higher for my next year on our colege bowling team. . . anyone have this bowling ball? Do you like it? Did it help improve your average? Any tips about the ball?

That bowling ball is excellent for medium to oily lane conditions. Actually all of the Faball/Hammer Black Widow bowling balls are great for anyone’s arsenal.
I had the bowling ball drilled semi/relaxed fingertip, so that I could get maximum revs, pin below the ring finger and 1/8 in. negative pitch in the thumbhole for easier release. My bowling style has medium revolutions for a straighter line down to about midway down the lane, then an aggressive hook into the 1-3 pocket.
I really love the look and action of the ball, plus it’s very forgiving even when you deliver it lousy and it seems to “remember” it’s way to the pocket. After I got it drilled out, my first game was a 243 and averaged about 227 that practice session. Good luck!
