Does anyone know the average cost of a rabbit, supplies and all?

Ok, rabbits at petland and petsmart are around 20 dollars.
What about cages?
Food?
Food Bowl?
Water Bottle?
Bedding?
Anything Else?

well food if you get a big 50 lb bag would be around 8 bucks

bowls for food and water would be ranged from a dollar to 4 dollars ea.

if you want to get a bottle its like 3 bucks

bedding if you get the big bag (preferably pine chips not cedar it gives them reperatory issues) would be around 6 bucks

maybe some hay. Rabbits always have to have hay available. a bale of grass hay would be around 4 bucks

Rabbits will once in a while need papaya to clear out their digestive system (clear out hair that they swallow after grooming themselves)
rabbits will die of a hairball if nothing is done about it. thats y you need papaya slices (preferable the dried kind you get in a package)

Rabbits teeth are constantly growing so you might need some wood to get them ground down. DONT GET CHERRY WOOD IT WILL KILL THEM. Mulberry wood works the best for the job i would consider that. Thats what i use.

cages preferably are 24 by 24 and they are ranged for 50 to 200 dollars

email me if you need the specifics =)

i have had several rabbits in the past few years they are not easy keepers ill be honest males tend to bite when they hit 6-8 months and females are territorial unless you spend the money and get them fixed yes vets do spay and neuter rabbits

cage: you want a cage that has 2 opening top and front 90.00 you also want a cage that the poo fall under and the rabbit does not sit in plastic cages they will chew trough not a good choice. go for a metal wire cage with a grating they sit on.

    food: 10.00 pellets

    water dish: 10.00

    food dish:10.00

bedding: go to a farm supply store and pick up a bag of stall shavings its a way better deal a big bag usuall 10.00 or less and lasts a long time

get a litter box they attach in the corner of your cage and rabbits learn fast how to use them

timothy hay 10.00 put a hand full in daily

chewing blocks they are rodents their front teeth don’t stop growing 6.00 per Pack of 5 just look at petsmart

house: they need their quiet time too 15-20.00

they also love tp rolls cat toys are great with bells they do play alot

    hope this helps
