I think they need to cut it to 30 bowl games and cut the ones that have the lowest attendance. This would cut out the 6-6 teams.
What happens if there are not enough bowl eligible teams for bowl games?

What would happen is alot of sponsers loose ALOT of money for buying out the stadium and not gettin revenu back.
Hey more bowl games better match ups, you get to see how good some teams realy are
I agree with you no one cares until New Years about the bowl games
If that happened the only ones who would notice would be the Sponsors. They would probably go with the best of the worst to get a game anyway. Now if a CONFERENCE doesn’t have enough(remember some Bowl games are tied to Conferences) they just take a school from what is available.
oh, yeah. more than half of FBS (119 FBS teams, 34 bowls) teams get to go to a bowl. it waters down the experience, especially for the TV viewer. it basically becomes a vacation for .500 teams while rewarding their mediocrity.
“Bowl eligible” is whatever the individual bowl game organizers want it to be, I think. Personally, I don’t think any team with fewer than 10 wins should even be in a bowl game.
No… They need to cut it down to 10 or less like it used to be.
No more “Feel Good Bowl” games given to mediocre teams just to make a buck and hand out a trophy to the 23rd best team in the country.
There used to be the big games like the Rose Bowl, Sugar Bowl, Cotton Bowl, Orange Bowl and the Gator Bowl.
That was enough.
To be honest the can scrap the whole thing and have an 8-12 team playoff system. There is not much debate on who the top eight teams are and you can have a real champion instead of a winner voted in by a stupid computer system.
That month long wait to play for the title should be filled with playoff games.
